We got this for my 10 month old son who is showing an interest in pushing things around and pulling up on furniture. Therefore I really appreciated the advice of another reviewer to put ankle weights in the middle compartment to keep the train from tipping over. That being said my son truly enjoys everything about this train. I really debated on this purchase because I did not know which push and ride toy to purchase or if it would really be used. I almost bought the one by Little Tikes but after reading all the reviews I decided to go for this one once I found it available with free shipping from Baby Universe. Also the fact that this one seems to be a little higher off the ground is good for my son whose height is in the 90th percentile. My son also enjoys the different levers and knobs which I also enjoy since they don't require batteries! This was my son's Santa gift for Christmas. He was an early walker and 10mo old when he got it. He loved it from day one and pushed it all over. Since then he has learned how to ride it and one of his favorite things is to put things in the seat and push it around. He also love to sit on it and chase the dogs around. At 18mo old this is still one of his favorite toys and is standing up well to my son's constant use and abuse (he does stand on it and sit on it while its on its side). I love to find toys that don't flash and make noise. I think toys like this one encourage more imaginative play. The levers and stuff do reward exploration with spinning, squeaking and simple reactions. This is very sturdy and my son doesn't have any problems with it tipping over. This is definately one of our favorites.

My 2-year-old son loves ride-on toys - we have three different ones at home and he's ridden on lots of others at friends' houses. This is hands-down the best ride-on toy I've seen. It's just the right height, very durable and easy to roll and steer. It has some nice little gadgets to play with, but nothing electronic or annoying. He started using it at age 1 and I've had friends' kids up to age 3.5 use it with no problem. We even bought one for both of the grandparents' houses because it's something he can use for a couple of years.

I got this for my 2y/o old daughter and she loves it! It is stable enough for her to move and turn on her own and feel like she is 'riding' a bike. I like it because it is made for small kids and doesn't sit so high off the ground. The basket is cute and makes it easy for kids to carry things around and give rides to their favorite dolls. It was simple enough to put together and is pretty durable.

This is a life saver in my house! I have three children that vary in age from 1 to 10 years old. All love this car! Now, the one year old is not quite ready to ride on his own yet, but he is very happy to have his big sister (3 1/2) to drive him around. She rides her purple Plasma car every day for long periods of time. It is totally kid powered and easy to drive. It takes a moment to get used to how the wheel must move back and forth to start the friction, but kids seem to catch on very well. The cars are very sturdy and big enough for my 10 year old son to ride as well. They can hold up to 200 pounds on a smooth surface and 110 pounds on a rough surface. The cars can be used indoors or outdoors. We own two, and my daughter and oldest son like to race down the driveway together. The cars also turn on a dime! This toy is just plain fun. Even for your kids! In fact you might have to get them one as well! It started when we ordered a couple for our two grandkids. Both boys. One barely walking and the other a 4 year old that doesn't know the meaning of walk. Once we got these put together we saw how much fun they were we had to find a reason to order more, so we decided our niece and nephew needed them as well.

The specifics:
1. The toy is easy to put together. All you need is a hard rubber mallet (a block of wood and a claw hammer works just as well), and a Philips screwdriver. (You will not need to put in any screws but you will need the screwdriver with the included socket tool to help you tighten the nut on the steering shaft). There is a good video on YouTube about how easy it is to put together.

My 15 month old daughter loves this trike! She cried when our walk was over because she didn't want to get off of it. I have no problem with the steering- it can swerve slightly when going straight, but not enough to matter, and it turns well. It took her dad only a half hour or so to put together. I like the adjustable height of the parent push handle, since I am short but her dad is tall. The only thing I don't like is the shoulder harness- I can't adjust it quite right, so the straps are on the outer edge of my daughter's shoulders and sometimes one slips down. But she still stays on fine, and the separate waist buckle works well.

Before buying I looked at this push trike and the different Smart Trike models. After seeing them in person, I narrowed it down to this or the Smart Trike Zoo Gala (a deluxe model)- the lower-end Smart Trikes are more flimsy plastic and seemed cheaply made; these were both sturdy. Both my little girls (ages 2 & 10 months) love this trike. It is easy to push and steer. We get lots of fun comments when we are out walking with it. I know we will be able to use this for many years. My 2 year old can NOT reach the pedals yet, but she is on the small side for her age, only 34in and 24lbs.

We've had this about a month and the frame is already scratched up a bit. The finish on the metal parts is a bit thin. Other than that we are very happy with the purchase.

For the most part it is great..Have 2 issues with it. 1st the "canopy" can be adjusted in any direction which would make you think it would be great...uh not so much. With a very light breeze the canopy goes eveywhere..pretty much a nightmare. 2nd issue is the parent handle. It is very difficult to manuever without feeling like you are going to break the bar.Minus these two issues it is really cool. I get comments everytime I take my daughter out on it. She loves this trike.My daughter just turned one and it is perfect for her at stage1.

My daughter, who just turned a year old, loves riding in her little car. She's not quite sure of the wheel, horn, etc. but she really enjoys riding in it.

Pros: It comes with a "floor" for smaller kids. I'm not sure if they all do now, but my neighbors have a similar one and theirs does not have a bottom. It's a great feature for a child who's not old enough to move it along on their own.

My daughter thinks the door's ability to open/close is very neat. :)

The cons: My husband struggled with putting this together. When I asked what was hard about putting it together he responded "Everything! Just about every piece was difficult to get together."

I'm 4'11" tall and I'm the person who primarily pushes my daughter in this. My husband is 6' tall and I can't imagine him pushing her in it. The handle is probably just the right height for me however steering via the handle - not so easy. I generally walk beside the toy and use the... Read more

The car seems fun, I bought it for my niece, however assembly was a bit difficult, specifically attaching the roof. The issue is with the placement of the screw holes on the inside wall of the cupholder. The narrow cupholder and position of the roof prevents not only the use of a power drill, but also full use of a screw driver. The narrowness of the cupholder prevented me from being able fully grasp the screwdriver, forcing me to turn it with my finger tips. This made the process significantly more difficult than it should have been had they chosen a better position for the screws.

My parents bought this for my son, who admittedly does love it. But the thing is a nightmare to put together (especially the six red caps that go over the exposed metal rods). And has been pointed out, the instructions are worthless.

And no sooner did I get it together, one of the red caps broke, leaving an exposed metal rod that he could get hurt on.

So I went online and filled out the form to get a replacement of what has to be a thirty cent item. And although this is the 30TH ANNIVERSARY COUPE that only came out THIS YEAR, I was told I'd need to provide proof of purchase to show that it was purchased this year just to get a replacement for a badly designed part that is there to ensure safety.

I'm sorely tempted to return this car, and to avoid Little Tikes products until they improve their customer service.

Well made Plastic ride on toy for children. However Manufactor says it for ages 18 months to 6 years. Purchased it to have at our house for our 2 1/2 year old Grandson. He is just barely able to use it. and he's average size. There is no way he'll make it past this summer on it, let alone till he's 6. Easy to put together, Wheels and steering wheel just snaps onto the toy, no tools required. And it seems sturdy.

I'm very happy with this purchase. I bought it because a few of the reviews said that it's a small riding toy.
It's perfect for my 9 month old son. He's about the size of a 12 month old. He's a confident crawler / almost walker.
He can sit on it with his feet flat on the floor. I'm sure it will be a fun toy for him for the next year. I agree with the other reviewers that said this is NOT for a larger child. My 2&1/2 year old daughter hasn't played with it yet but I'm guessing she'll be too big for it. It is well made and easy to put together! Overall I'd say it's a great toy for a baby / toddler!

My husband & I bought this for our 10 month old Sophie. She is standing & walking while holding onto things but really wanted to walk further. She gets so excited when she walks. Anyway, this Stride-to-Ride Dino is just what she needed. It doesn't tip over on her, she can walk pushing it holding on to the handles, then when she gets to the other side of the room, she just walks around it and pushes the head to walk it the other way. It turns really well too. Most of the other walkers only go straight or one way.

The Dino plays really cute songs that Sophie dances to. All she has to do it push the buttons on his head. It has volume controls: off, low & high. The music is cute but not annoying if played over & over again.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

Though fairly simple in design with only three lights, this little dinosaur is incredibly cute! It isn't an educational toy in the sense of comprehension, but it is an excellent strength and excercise toy. Our son loves to sit on it and play with it for 30 minutes at a time. It has been a huge hit for him. The big wheels makes it easy for him to roll it around on the carpet and tile (doesn't get stuck). He's not crazy about the push feature, but he loves to sit on it. Mom loves it because it is encouraging him to stand (so he can push the buttons for lights and music) and get stronger. Our son was born with Downs Syndrome, and one of the effects is hypotonia (weak muscles), so at 18 months hes still not walking. This toy has helped him immensly in strengthening his legs muscles to where he stands for longer periods of time. I just need to convince him to walk with it now instead of just sitting on it. I bought the lion fisher price walker first and then I returned it and got the dino, which is sooo much better. First, the lion has the nose button to press for the music in the front and the dino has the buttons on the head of the dino which is near the handle bar and easier for the baby to press without having to walk around it. Second, the music and sounds the dino makes are much more pleasant than the lion. Third, the handle bar is slightly higher for taller babies, but it is not too high either, the lino's handle was too low. Finally, the legs of the dinor spread and allow baby to stand closer to the handle versus the lion where the baby could not get too close to the handle bar. In the end, my baby did not walk the lion at all just played with its nose a little to hear the music, but she loves the dino and walks around our living room with it.

My son just turned 1 and we got him his car for his birthday! he absolutely loves it. he is really good at pushing the drive button and loves the talking features. i wish it had a reverse button but that is my only complaint. it works great indoors on carpet and hard wood as well as pavement outside. we haven't had it long enough to know what the battery life will be like but we haven't charged it again and he's been using it for 2 weeks.

Our 2.5 year-old grandson was so excited to get this from grandma and grandpa for Christmas. He loves Thomas and had seen the little boy on the Amazon ad. The product arrived in a timely fashion and perfectly in-tact. It was easy to assemble and decorate with the Thomas lights and stripes. The battery has to be charged 18 hours before the first use and then after every day of play. It would be great if it were a little easier to get at the battery, but it's not too hard. We are able to go for long rides on our short nap hallway carpets and ,contrary to one review, our hardwood floors show no signs of wear. I expect he will outgrow his interest in a year, but in the meantime -- he loves it. I wish it had a toot-toot, but I imagine our neighbours are just as happy it doesn't!

I bought this toy for my daughter's first birthday, and everyone in the family absolutely loves it. My daughter thinks that she is such a big girl driving around the neighborhood, and she prefers it to her stroller, hands down. It is sturdy, turns well, and looks cute. The removable handle is wonderful for trips as the car fits in our trunk beautifully. The handle is a godsend for parents since you will definitely be pushing this around many times for a long time. The storage compartment is really fantastic also - for all of those treasures that must go along. I think that it would be neat if the car made more realistic sounds, but my daughter doesn't mind in the least. She loves it. My only suggestion to Step2 would be to put little doors on the side so that children will not be tempted to drag their feet on the ground which my daughter occasionally does. I bought this for my son's first birthday. It has been great to take walks in. He seems to really enjoy it. The only thing I could say wrong about this product is that the tires do split. I bought it in May and it's now September and the seam in the back tire has already split. I just called the toll free number (800-347-8372) for Step 2. They indicated that this product is under warranty against manufacture defect and normal wear and tear for two years from date of purchase. They are supposed to be sending me out a new tire tomorrow.

I recently bought this car for my 8 month-old daughter and she absolutely LOVES it! She claps her hands and squeals up a storm as we "drive" down the street. The handle is perfect for my height and I love that it has a seatbelt in it. The "trunk" is handy for storage, (keys, wallet, burp cloth etc..) and my daughter even falls asleep in it. AMAZING! We usually take a 30 minute walk in the evening time and the minute I put her in the car to get ready to go, she is just overjoyed. This is one toy that we'll definitely get our moneys worth out of! (Already have, I think!) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!
